Staffing Structure

On September 15, 2023 (Minguo Year 112), this site was upgraded to a Category B airport. It now comprises an Operations Division, an Airfield Operations Office (Division), Personnel, Accounting, and Government Ethics units, each responsible for their respective functions. In addition, a Firefighting Unit has been established to handle firefighting and rescue operations for the airfield, terminal, and aircraft, under the supervision of the Airfield Operations Office (Division).

Operations Division
  1. Operate, manage, and maintain the passenger terminal and its facilities; maintain and repair runway, taxiway, and apron pavements; carry out landscaping and improvements; manage traffic; oversee land use; plan terminal operations and deliver passenger services.
  2. Handle terminal planning and performance review; cleaning; correspondence, records and archives; asset and treasury functions; public relations; and general administrative affairs.
Aviation Affairs Division (Office)
Management of flight safety, inspection of aviation personnel and aircraft, noise compensation and subsidy distribution, airport firefighting, and rescue services.

Management of officer-level and worker-level personnel, and contract employee management.

Management of budget and final account preparation, budget control, fiscal affairs, accounting, and statistics.

Aviation Police Bureau Kaohsiung Branch Chiayi Substation responsible for airport security, crime prevention, document inspection, and security checks.
Civil Aeronautics Administration Chiayi Navigation Aid Station
Civil Aeronautics Administration Chiayi Navigation Aid Station responsible for maintenance of civil navigation aid equipment at Chiayi Airport.
